Yoga and the Cold

Tonight was my first Mysore class in almost 2 weeks. I've had a dreadful cough and cold, so not been able to practice in the same way, which has really annoyed me TBH. Yoga, for me anyway, is about getting on my mat and working through my postures to the best of my ability. What if that's not possible though? Well, you need to understand your body to find the balance between self-care and what you're body can cope with doing at that moment. For me, tonight this meant, no vinyasas, not jumping about and paying a bit more attention to those postures I was working on. So I'm not feeling worse the wear for my practice, if anything after days of being hunched over coughing, my back bends felt pretty amazing. Yoga meets you where you are - you just gotta find that sweet spot! 🧘‍♀️
